Someone could give you the wrong size or there’s a spelling error in their name on the back of the jersey.  Having to set backup to produce one or two units can be very expensive. Also you may have some rotating players throughout the season that you want to outfit without having to meet a minimum later on.

This is why we would recommend ordering long in at least the most popular sizes. That way you have a little elbow room on your project should any unforeseen hang ups occur. You could also consider advertising team gear for sale to friends and family as a fundraiser. This could drive units ordered up lowering cost per unit and provide a channel to move any unclaimed products should you need. What team doesn’t need a Gatorade, pizza or beer fund?

Keep your product assortment simple, with the exception of accessories most custom team items are sized. This turns one shirt style S-XXL into five different products that you have to order correctly. Home and away colors you’ve got 10 or more items to sort. Add names and numbers to that the variables add up quick.

That gets us into the next unique aspect of custom team wear, names and numbers. There are a lot of ways to tackle custom names and numbers, no pun intended. Whether it’s the application used to print them or the level of customization that goes into them. In some many cases you don’t need them, sometimes customers want them for aesthetic and in some leagues they are required. You should know what rules apply to your team before ordering.

Options for names and numbers.

So you’ve determined that you need names, numbers or both. If all you need is numbers we can just randomly apply them throughout your order for economy and your teammates will just get whatever number is handed to them. This will also make your team apparel transferable should you need to make some player trades or mix and match sizes. You can add your team name for aesthetic in place of the name bar if you choose.

Full customization for your team apparel.

If your custom team jerseys need unique names, numbers or both that’s not a problem it’s just a little more involved. First we ask that you submit your team names and numbers in a spreadsheet. You can download the order template linked below for convenience if you choose. Please double check your work before submitting the order to us, it can be difficult to make changes once the wheels are spinning. It would be smart to order long in a few sizes with no names or numbers just to be safe. We go a little long on our end also in case there are any production blems to off set.

Name and number application options.

So there are several systems available for name and number applications. As a note we can do your custom team logos in any of these applications as well. The most deluxe is applique, this is an embroidery and tackle twill combination that you would see on a professional sports jerseys. They are expensive but worth it to the team that wants to get several seasons out of their custom uniforms. Especially in sports where there’s high abrasion like hockey or football. The second option is heat applied die cut twill or felt, this is great system that is relatively affordable, it’s also probably our most popular. This is a great look for the recreational player that still wants a custom uniform with an elevated feel. Lastly you would have cut vinyl, this is a simple and affordable process that most resembles screen printing in look. All of these are great options but you may be wondering why I haven’t mentioned screen printing as an option. The problem with screen printing custom names and numbers is you would have to create a screen for ever name and number. It just wouldn’t be economical unless you were doing something like 30+ of the same exact jersey.

Alright, let’s talk garments. We have a pretty broad reach when it comes to blank team apparel.
